The Essential package includes natural gas, LPG, unvented hot water and renewable-heating record modules. Gas records cover landlord and homeowner inspections, service and repair, installation and commissioning, warning notices, visual inspections and non-domestic work. Oil records are currently deferred.
Each record asks for the information relevant to that document. Repeatable appliance sections keep equipment details, readings and findings together, rather than treating every job as the same form.
Review first. Sign last.
Complete the questions and review the recorded answers before issuing the document. You can return to a question and correct it before signing. The customer acknowledgement is optional; the engineer signature is required before a certificate can be issued or its PDF created.
Changing the answers invalidates the previous review and signatures. The engineer must review and sign the changed record again. This helps keep the issued PDF tied to the information that was actually confirmed.
Company-branded PDFs and saved work
Your business name, contact information and selected engineer details appear on the record. The standard certificate layouts use A4 pages, with additional space where the document needs it. Related warnings retain their references alongside the job record.
Free accounts can save work. Certificate issuance and PDF/report downloads use your Essential subscription or an applicable permanent free-access grant. You can keep an editable backup of your own workspace data.
IGEM/UP/1B calculations alongside your records
The independent IGEM/UP/1B Calculator is free to use online without an account. It provides gas installation-volume calculations and a pressure-drop comparison using the selected gas, gauge and test configuration. A free account saves results; the Essential package adds numbered calculator reports and PDF downloads.
Original Essential work records are not official scheme certificates. The software does not replace the competent engineer, applicable current standards, manufacturer instructions or any required scheme documents.
